HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR DATA

We are required under UK tax law to keep your basic personal data (name, address, contact details) for a minimum of 6 years after which time it will be destroyed. In order to run Walnut + Willow, we provide your details to the following third parties Wix, Xero and Paypal

Wix is the provider of our website and we use it to store customer details for the purpose of fulfilling orders placed.

Xero is our accounts system and customers details are stored for the purpose of quoting and invoicing for any of our services

We do not store customers bank details anywhere, Paypal is our choice of payment systems, who carry their own privacy policies. Occasionally we use the BACS format for payment, but again never store any personal details via this route.

STORING YOUR PERSONAL DATA

In operating our business via Walnut + Willow website, your data is processed by our staff in the UK. We do not provide our own IT servers. However any third party shall not have access to your personal data unless the law allows them to do so.

Obviously we do our utmost to ensure that our server hosts are secure and fully accredited. Unfortunately, we cannot be responsible for any illegal breaches that may occur.

STORAGE OF PAYMENT DETAILS

We do not store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties.

Our company is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. 

All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.
